What happens on your first visit |
The most important part of dental treatment is preventing disease before it starts.
At your initial appointment we will take a complete medical and dental history,
check your blood pressure, and conduct a thorough examination of your mouth to detect
any evidence of decay or gum disease. A TMJ (jaw joint) examination and bite analysis
will also be done if necessary.
In addition, a complete oral cancer screening will be performed on all tissues in
and around your mouth. Necessary films will be taken so that we can detect any abnormalities
or areas of decay not visible to the naked eye. Facial and oral photos may be taken
for identification and treatment purposes. During your first visit we will also
explain whether further appointments are required for additional dental treatment
and the financial implications of going ahead with them.
We welcome you to our practice and look forward to meeting you. |
Financial |
We provide patients with a treatment plan that will include a breakdown of all applicable fees, and will also conduct personal financial consultation with each patient. Financial arrangements are made individually. Charges are payable at the time of treatment. We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Cash, Care Credit and Discover for payment.
We accept Delta Premier and PPO, Aetna, United Concordia, Guardian, and Met Life, insurance plans. Co-payments are due at the time of treatment. As a courtesy we will file your insurance claim forms and answer any questions you have to the best of our ability. Deductibles, monetary limitations and payments for dental insurance vary widely from those you may be accustomed to with your medical provider. We will aid in securing the maximum allowance due to you. If insurance has not paid within 45 days of your treatment, you are responsible for making full payment to our practice and will be reimbursed when your insurance company pays Gentle Touch Dental Spa. All current documentation will be provided to you in order to assist in your inquiries.
Please keep in mind that dental insurance is an agreement between you, your insurance company and the employer who designed the policy. |
